EU Trade Deficit With China Tops 370 Billion Euros as Ministers Weigh New Measures

EU ministers said on Friday the bloc should keep talks with Beijing going and extend its hybrid vehicle import deal to more sectors. The EU trade deficit with China topped 370 billion euros in 2025 and is heading past 400 billion this year. Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic agreed with China to halve EU imports of Chinese hybrid cars, while China will cut tariffs on 4 billion euros of EU exports.
