Citi and SDX Launch Permissioned Platform to Tokenize Late Stage Private Shares for Institutional Investors

Citigroup is launching a crypto platform with SDX, SIX Swiss Exchange's digital asset arm, to tokenize and trade late stage private company shares for institutional and eligible investors. The permissioned R3 Corda ledger will issue tokenized depositary receipts held through regulated institutions, starting with foreign investors while US access is planned for a later phase pending regulation.
