U.S. June Core PPI Rises 4.7% YoY as Headline PPI Eases to 5.5%, Energy Prices Fall 6.4%

U.S. producer inflation cooled in June as core PPI excluding food and energy rose 4.7% year over year and 0.2% month over month, while headline PPI increased 5.5% year over year. Energy prices fell 6.4%, with declines also reported in transportation and warehousing, and food prices dropped for the first time in three months.
