Vitalik Says Ethereum Foundation Cuts Budget 40%, Moves Toward Long-Term Endowment Model

According to ME News, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik wrote in a June 23 (UTC+8) blog post that the Ethereum Foundation has reduced its budget by 40% this year. He said the cut aligns with last year's financial management policy, which set out a plan to transition the foundation into a long-term, investment-oriented endowment fund. Under the framework, the foundation aims to lower its spending rate from an average of roughly 15% of remaining funds per year before 2026 to about 5% annually after 2030. (Source: Foresight News)
