JaredFromSubway.eth MEV Bot Loses $7.65M in "Reverse" Exploit; Operators Offer 50% Bounty for Return

The Ethereum MEV bot JaredFromSubway.eth was hit by a reverse exploit on June 20, losing about 4,424 WETH, worth roughly $7.65 million. The attacker used a fake token contract to induce the bot to approve permissions, then siphoned out the funds. On June 22, the JaredFromSubway operators posted an on-chain message to the attacker at address 0x3e37…65d0, proposing a 50% bug bounty: return 2,150 ETH within 48 hours and they will treat the rest as a bounty and take no further action. Part of the stolen funds has been routed through Tornado Cash. As of publication, the attacker has not responded.
