Crypto liquidations total $659M over 24 hours as longs take the brunt

Crypto derivatives traders saw $659 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, CoinGlass data showed. Long positions accounted for $601 million of the total, while shorts made up $58.64 million. By asset, Bitcoin liquidations reached $175 million, including $164 million in longs and $11.36 million in shorts. Ethereum posted $165 million in liquidations, with $150 million from longs and $15.03 million from shorts. Solana liquidations totaled $30.16 million, comprised of $29.20 million in longs and $961,300 in shorts. In all, 138,559 traders were liquidated during the period. The largest single liquidation was a $14.15 million position on the ETHUSD pair on Hyperliquid.
