Crypto liquidations hit $1.42B in 24 hours as long wipeouts dominate at $1.12B

ChainCatcher cited Coinglass data showing total crypto market liquidations of $1.419 billion over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $1.118 billion, while shorts totaled $301 million. By asset, Bitcoin liquidations included $495 million in longs and $146 million in shorts. Ethereum saw $274 million in long liquidations and $75.6 million in shorts. Coinglass data also indicated 199,611 traders were liquidated globally during the period. The largest single liquidation was a $38.0525 million BTCUSD position on Hyperliquid.
