Trump Cancels June 24 Housing Bill Signing as Measure Extends CBDC Ban Through 2030

President Trump canceled the June 24 signing ceremony for the Pathway to 21st Century Housing Act, a measure that includes a ban on issuing a US central bank digital currency through the end of 2030. He said he will not sign it unless Congress first passes the SAVE America Act. If vetoed, the bill would require a two thirds vote in both chambers to become law.
