Canton Network Builder Digital Asset Raises $355 Million in a16z Crypto-Led Round, Valued at $2 Billion

Digital Asset, the developer behind the privacy-focused blockchain Canton Network, said it has closed a $355 million financing round valuing the company at $2 billion. The round was led by a16z crypto and included participation from subsidiaries of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Apollo Funds, BNP Paribas, Citadel Securities, CME Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, HSBC, S&P Global, and SBI Group. The company plans to use the proceeds to speed up strategic partnerships, pursue mergers and acquisitions, and help partners build on-chain businesses.
