@osmosis has switched off $OSMO inflation. The daily epoch today minted zero new tokens, down from 91,324 a day. Proposal 1053 passed with a 91.1% yes vote. The daily release of developer tokens is also paused, leaving about 51.9M OSMO in place until a separate vote. Staking rewards now come only from protocol revenue, mainly trading fees. Osmosis estimates its current burns remove about 2% of supply a year, so the 955.6M OSMO in existence today should only decrease from here.

BitMNR resumed share buybacks after a 10-week pause, spending $45.9 million on 2.04 million shares. The company also added 10,452 ETH, bringing its total holdings to 6.05 million ETH, valued at $14 billion.

Whale Alert reported a transfer of 85,887 ETH valued at $200,585,192 from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet. The transaction occurred on the Ethereum blockchain. No identifying information about the wallets is available. Such large transfers are often monitored by market participants.

BitMNR acquired 10,452 ETH last week. The company now holds 4.95% of Ethereum's total supply. The purchase adds to its existing holdings. Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

dYdX community has opened an onchain vote to close seven trading markets, including ENA, ONDO, WLFI, TRUMP, WIF, crude oil WTI and silver XAG. Voting ends October 29 at 8.40 pm Beijing time. The proposal cites low activity and liquidity, high oracle costs for WTI and XAG, and node infrastructure set for shutdown backing ENA, ONDO and WLFI. If passed, they enter final settlement.
