The Block: Task scammer loses more than $4.8M in bitcoin after thieves drain three Ledger wallets, Chainalysis says

A task scammer lost more than $4.8 million in bitcoin after thieves emptied three Ledger wallets belonging to the scammer, according to Chainalysis. On-chain researchers estimate the wider theft tied to tampered Ledger devices at more than $86 million across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron. Ledger has not confirmed the total losses or the number of affected users.
