Oil Drops About 4% on June 14 as Trump Says US-Iran Deal Is Complete; Bitcoin Near $66,000
On June 14, crude oil slid after U.S. President Donald Trump said a U.S.-Iran peace deal was "officially complete" and the Strait of Hormuz would reopen. Brent fell to $83.31 and WTI to around $80.25, while bitcoin rebounded above $65,000 and later reached $65,910. The move also triggered about $150 million in crypto short liquidations as risk appetite improved.
