Nvidia becomes top data center Ethernet switching vendor by revenue in Q1 2026 as sales hit $2.1 billion

IDC’s latest report says Nvidia became the world’s largest data center Ethernet switching vendor by revenue in Q1 2026, with sales of $2.1 billion, up 193% year over year. The report ties the gain to broad hyperscaler adoption of the Spectrum-X platform in AI data centers. Nvidia’s earnings also show data center networking revenue surged 199% year over year to $14.8 billion, helping lift fiscal Q1 2027 revenue to $81.6 billion, with the data center segment accounting for 92%. Analysts’ consensus price target is $303.71, implying about 51% upside from the current price.
