Legacy Aztec Connect contract drained of $2.1 million in 909 ETH, three years after shutdown

A legacy Aztec Connect smart contract was exploited for roughly $2.1 million, while Aztec’s current infrastructure was not affected. The incident involved about 909 ETH and targeted the immutable RollupProcessorV3 contract. Aztec Connect was deprecated and shut down in March 2023, leaving the legacy contract as a separate, still-live on-chain component.
