Andhra Pradesh targets over ₹20,000 crore in investment for titanium and rare earth processing, minister says
The Andhra Pradesh government said the Jonnagiri gold project in Anantapur district, with 13 tonnes of reserves, is set to move into the commercial production phase. It is also drawing up a plan to attract investment of over ₹20,000 crore to set up titanium sponge, titanium metal, rare earth and advanced mineral processing industries. The state said it holds India’s second-largest beach sand mineral deposits after Tamil Nadu, containing minerals including titanium and zircon, alongside exploration work for iron ore and limestone and the identification of four potential gold mining sites.
