U.S. July CPI rises 3.4% y/y, in line with expectations
Odaily Planet Daily reported that on July 12, U.S. CPI for July (not seasonally adjusted) increased 3.4% year over year, matching market forecasts and easing from the prior 3.50%. Core CPI (not seasonally adjusted) rose 2.5% y/y, in line with expectations, versus 2.60% previously. On a seasonally adjusted basis, core CPI edged up 0.2% month over month, also in line with expectations, compared with 0.00% in the prior reading. (GoldTen)
