KOSPI trips circuit breaker after 5% slide

Odaily Planet Daily reported that South Korea's KOSPI extended losses to 5%. Samsung fell 6.5%, while SK Hynix sank more than 8%. Nasdaq futures slipped nearly 1%, and major chip stocks were broadly lower in after-hours trading. The Korea Exchange triggered a circuit breaker for the KOSPI after KOSPI 200 futures dropped 5%, halting algorithmic trading for five minutes.
