Ramp, a corporate finance platform that reports $200 billion in annualized purchase volume, on Monday introduced two stablecoin offerings: stablecoins as a payment method in Ramp Bill Pay, and Ramp Stablecoin Accounts for holding, earning on, and moving digital dollars. The products are built on Stripe infrastructure, including Stripe's stablecoin orchestration platform Bridge and wallet provider Privy. Ramp said customers can open a Stablecoin Account to store funds and send international payments 24/7, or pay vendors in USDC or USDT with funding sourced directly from a USD bank account. Stripe said the setup separates cleanly across the stack. For Bill Pay, payments originate from an external bank account, with Bridge converting dollars and delivering funds to the recipient's wallet, allowing customers without crypto holdings to avoid handling stablecoins. For Stablecoin Accounts, Privy holds customer balances in USD-denominated stablecoins, according to Stripe. Ramp said Stablecoin Accounts offer up to 3.25% in rewards on eligible USD stablecoin balances and charge no fees to convert between USD and USDC or USDT. Businesses can send USDC or USDT to vendor or contractor wallets in 140+ countries, or convert to fiat and pay out in 40+ currencies via local rails. Eligible customers can open a Stablecoin Account, and stablecoins can be selected within Bill Pay without opening a separate account, Ramp said. The Stablecoin Account is not available to customers in New York. "For Ramp customers, a dollar is a dollar, whether it's stablecoin or traditional fiat currency," said Andrew Chapello, product at Ramp, in Stripe's release. "Businesses can now hold and send stablecoins without any prior crypto expertise." Privy said it built the enterprise wallet infrastructure behind the accounts, including enterprise custodial wallets, Solana support, authorization controls, wallet APIs, and reconciliation tooling, integrated with Stripe's stablecoin infrastructure. Ramp said more than 1,000 businesses already use stablecoins to pay vendors on its platform, and more than 70% of that payment volume occurs outside traditional banking hours. Stripe pointed to one beta customer where stablecoin payments represented roughly 10% of vendor payments but consumed 50% of accounts payable time. Ramp said it is a financial technology company, not a bank or a digital asset custodian, and that stablecoin custody is provided by Bridge Building Inc. and affiliates. The launch brings the Stripe-Bridge-Privy stablecoin stack further into corporate treasury and payables, following Privy's earlier fiat onramp work with Stripe.
