Hong Kong SFC Approves Futu to Extend Type 1 Margin Financing for Crypto Trading Using Securities Collateral

Futu Securities has received Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission approval to expand its Type 1 regulated activity, allowing eligible clients to use traditional securities as collateral for margin financing and apply the credit to virtual asset trading. The change lifts a prior restriction and marks the first such arrangement for a Hong Kong securities broker.
