GraniteShares ETF Trust has pushed back the effective date for eight proposed 3x leveraged crypto ETFs to Nov. 30, 2026, according to an Oct. 26 post-effective amendment filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The products include 3x long and 3x short daily ETFs tied to XRP, Bitcoin, Ether and Solana. The funds would use swaps and futures to target three times the daily price move of the underlying asset, in either direction. The filing aims to delay the earlier registration amendment. It does not say the SEC rejected the products or give an explicit reason for the new timeline.
The delay lands eight days before the Nov. 3 U.S. midterm elections, with all 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats on the ballot. The outcome could shape control of Congress and future crypto rules, leaving some investors reluctant to add risk until the political picture is clearer. The Federal Reserve meeting on Oct. 27-28 adds another uncertainty. Rates are widely expected to stay at 3.75%-4.00%, but any unexpected signal on the path of policy could move crypto prices.
The updated filing sets Nov. 30 as the planned effective date for the registration amendment. It does not guarantee all eight funds will start trading that day.
