Crypto Selloff Liquidates $860M in Longs as Bitcoin Falls Below $81,000

Crypto market liquidations reached $935 million over 24 hours on October 15, including $860 million in long positions and $75.25 million in shorts, according to CoinGlass data. Bitcoin fell 3.13% to $80,654, while Ethereum dropped 6% to $2,350, Huoxing Finance reported. Solana declined 5% to $101.80, and Litecoin lost 6.2% to $57.80. Altcoins posted steeper losses, with Optimism falling 16% to $0.133, Jito dropping 13.6% to $0.465 and Raydium sliding 13% to $1.78.
