CoinDCX Fund Consolidation Fails, Platform Absorbs Operational Losses
ChainCatcher reported that CoinDCX has clarified onchain activity tied to the TQKJQ wallet. After the July 2025 security incident, the exchange deactivated the affected wallet addresses. Some users continued sending funds to the old addresses. A routine fund aggregation process was temporarily offline, and CoinDCX identified the issue this morning. The platform will absorb the resulting operational losses. CoinDCX said accounts of users who deposited to deactivated addresses were credited. Customer assets remain secure in separate cold wallets. Active wallets and user addresses are unaffected, and trading operations continue normally. The exchange urged users to confirm the latest deposit addresses only through its official app or website to avoid sending funds to deactivated addresses. Previously, onchain detective ZachXBT questioned why deposit address TQKJQ remained in use for about 10 months after the security incident, with roughly $15.8 million in user deposits unaccounted for.
