Coinbase and OKX court Binance's EU users after MiCA-related service pause
Coinbase and OKX have rolled out new promotions aimed at European crypto users after Binance suspended certain services in the EU for not securing a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license ahead of the July 1 deadline.
Coinbase is offering transfer rewards of up to 5% for users in Germany, France, Italy and other markets. OKX is pitching eligible EEA users deposit bonuses of up to 8%, along with additional incentives for new users.
Binance said it still expects to obtain a MiCA license in the coming months. OKX Europe General Manager Erald Ghoos said the exchange recorded a peak in new customer signups in the run-up to the MiCA transition deadline.
