Base Mainnet Restarts After Two-Hour Network Outage
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Ethereum layer-2 network Base suffered a major outage that disrupted new block production. Base's status page shows the incident began around 16:03 UTC. The network returned to normal roughly two hours later, after block production and transaction processing had stalled during the downtime.
Base said an invalid block triggered the disruption and noted it is still investigating the root cause. The team advised node operators to restart their nodes. The latest incident follows a previous Base outage in August 2025.
