Kalshi, Polymarket Seal Media Deals With CNN and CNBC Ahead of U.S. Midterms
Ahead of the U.S. midterm elections on November 3, prediction markets Kalshi and Polymarket have struck commercial partnerships with major media outlets, folding election betting odds into their coverage. Partners include CNN, CBS News, Dow Jones and CNBC, according to Bloomberg.
Dune data analyzed by Bloomberg put election-related trading volume on the two platforms at roughly $1.5 billion.
The deals take different forms. CBS News named Kalshi its prediction market sponsor. CNBC disclosed a tie-up with Kalshi that includes revenue sharing on customer acquisition and a minority equity stake. The Wall Street Journal runs a Polymarket odds column on its homepage.
Fox and CNN said they will not carry odds during their election night broadcasts.
