Suncorp FY26 profit slips to $1,027 million, declares 52-cent final dividend and flags up to $250 million buyback

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Suncorp's FY26 results show a sharp decline in NPAT and cash earnings, driven by natural hazard costs exceeding allowances, but partially offset by premium growth, a fully franked dividend plus special dividend, and a planned FY27 buyback. The update highlights ongoing earnings sensitivity to catastrophe losses and the importance of reinsurance and capital management post bank-sale, with near-term focus on underwriting margins and claims efficiency.
