Sterling & Wilson targets ₹1,500 crore IPO for generator-manufacturing unit

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Sterling & Wilson's plan to list its generator subsidiary via a ₹1,500 crore IPO highlights strong capex momentum tied to data-center-driven power demand, supported by a larger FY26 order book and stable operating margins. The proceeds earmarked for new capacity in India and a Dubai hub suggest competitive expansion but is primarily a single-company funding event with limited read-through to broader macro, rates, or crypto risk appetite.

Sterling & Wilson is preparing an initial public offering of about ₹1,500 crore for its generator business subsidiary, Sterling Green Power Solutions. The company’s FY26 order book stood at about ₹2,900 crore, with provisional revenue of ₹1,167 crore and an operating margin of 11.5%. Shapoorji Pallonji’s stake has fallen to 42%, and Sterling Green has ceased to be its subsidiary, according to a CareEdge Ratings report. The IPO proceeds are expected to fund global and domestic capacity expansion, including a Dubai facility and a new plant in Pune.
