Santiment data show wallets holding more than 1,000 ETH cut their combined holdings by about 1.7 million ETH between May 20 and Aug. 20, equal to 2.9% of that cohort’s holdings. Over the same period, the share of wallets holding 1 to 10 ETH rose from 4.38% to 4.52%. About 300,000 ETH of the outflows can be traced to smaller wallet tiers, while most of the remainder may have moved into staking or contract addresses. Exchange ETH balances fell from about 7.07 million ETH to 6.54 million ETH, and the final destination of the funds remains unclear.
