Reddit said its stock will be added to the S&P 500 Index, sending shares up 11% in after-hours trading. As of mid-August, the stock was at $153.45, down about 31% year to date and lagging digital advertising peers. The addition comes as the S&P 500 Index is up nearly 14% in 2026, with constituent net profit margins at a record 16.9%. Softer inflation data has also pushed the market-implied probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike in September down to 35%.
