Anthropic eyes $2 trillion IPO in October as investors project $100 billion–$120 billion revenue run rate
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Equities were supported by softer inflation expectations, with Fed futures leaning toward a September hold at 3.5% and the S&P 500 rising modestly. Strong Q2 earnings breadth reinforced risk appetite, while retail ETF inflows added marginal support. Offsetting risks include heightened geopolitical disruption around the Strait of Hormuz, which can transmit to inflation and risk premia via energy prices. AI-related headlines are notable but not yet market-clearing.

Anthropic is targeting an IPO in October at a predicted valuation of $2 trillion, which would be the largest public stock offering on record and bigger than SpaceX, the Financial Times reported. Investors told the newspaper they expect the AI lab’s annual revenue run rate to reach $100 billion to $120 billion by the end of the year. The company is also reported to be in talks to buy “world model” startup Decart for $6 billion. Fed-funds futures traders expect rates to be held at 3.5% in September, a backdrop that coincided with gains of 0.26% for the S&P 500 and 1.16% for Japan’s Nikkei 225.
