The U.S. SEC has introduced a five-year innovation exemption that would, for the first time, allow eligible tokenized securities venues to use permissioned automated market makers and liquidity pools on public, permissionless blockchains. SEC materials explicitly describe XRP as one of the digital commodities identified under the March 2026 interpretation. Securitize has reported more than $4B in tokenized assets in 2026 and has become closely integrated into tokenized capital markets. Industry participants expect the first related notices could be issued next quarter, signaling a shift from concept to corporate disclosures around “tokenized Wall Street.”

Xpeng has confirmed Australian pricing and powertrain choices for its new midsize SUV, the L03. The range starts at $41,900 before on-road costs, with rear-wheel-drive Standard Range, rear-wheel-drive Long Range and all-wheel-drive Performance Ultra variants offered. The battery-electric version uses a 58.3kWh LFP battery for a WLTP range of 445km, while the EREV is claimed to deliver more than 1000km of combined range and is priced from the same $41,900. All versions are rated to tow up to 1500kg.

Indonesia produces more than 60% of the world’s nickel and said it would cut mining quotas from 379 million metric tons to 250 million-260 million tons, helping LME nickel hit $20,000 per ton in May. Prices have since slipped to $16,500 as investors question whether the curbs will be enforced. Indonesia has also increased nickel ore imports from the Philippines, with volumes up 50% to 15.3 million tons last year and another 67% year on year in the first seven months of this year.

IonQ said it and Synopsys showed quantum algorithms integrated into conventional engineering software, speeding up certain complex industrial-design tasks by as much as 14.6%. Hundreds of lawsuits accuse Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic and Wegovy and Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro and other GLP-1 drugs of causing permanent vision loss. Plaintiffs argue the companies should have known about the risk but did not disclose it on U.S. warning labels. One 63-year-old man with diabetes allegedly lost vision in one eye after taking Ozempic and later became legally blind, and a Phoenix law firm says it has received nearly 200 inquiries, with some cases filed in states including Arizona.

US diesel prices have climbed past $6.50 a gallon, and Donald Trump said he would support banning diesel exports. Republican lawmakers are pressing the administration ahead of November’s midterm elections to limit exports in an effort to ease financial strain on voters. The US exports about 1.3 million barrels of diesel per day, nearly a quarter of its refining output.

The Trade Desk reported Q2 results that fell short of expectations, with revenue of $715M (+3% YoY) and adjusted EBITDA of $241.3M, both below its guidance. Meta Platforms shares surged 11% to close at $741.25 on about 48 million shares, marking the stock’s biggest one-day gain since April 2025. The stock has risen more than 20% since Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, launched on Sept. 8, with a free tier and $20 and $100 monthly plans. Wells Fargo raised its price target to $796 from $640, while Mizuho said the rollout is a meaningful step toward showing returns on AI spending. On the chart, the stock cleared resistance at $665 and weekly volume has been positive for the past four weeks.
