Nvidia will acquire AI platform Hugging Face for $12.93 billion, bringing under its control a hub that hosts more than 3 million models and roughly 500,000 datasets. Hugging Face has more than 18 million users and 200,000 company customers. Broadcom also reported that its AI-chip revenue rose 221% year over year. Separately, China’s Moonshot AI is preparing for a Hong Kong IPO at a valuation near $50 billion, according to reports.

BMI raised its 2026 average coffee price forecast to 307 cents a pound, citing a strengthening El Nino and historically thin inventories. It expects global coffee production to rise 6% to 188.9 million bags in 2026-27, led by Brazil, where output is seen up 14.1% to 71.9 million bags, while Vietnam is forecast to edge up to 31.9 million bags. BMI sees Brazil’s 2027-28 crop slipping 5.1% to 68 million bags, narrowing the global surplus from 14.4 million bags to 9.2 million bags and keeping prices supported.

Privacy-focused infrastructure project Beldex has raised $8 million in a strategic round led by Sigma Capital and reported a series of ecosystem updates. Beldex Bridge has connected with BNB Smart Chain, while BelNet v1.4.1 improves Android performance and connectivity. The project is also advancing VRF-based PoS research ahead of its next hard fork, and recent snapshots show more than 3,300 masternodes. BDX and BDX-BSC are now available on SWFT Wallet and OmniBridge.

Eldorado Gold’s McIlvenna Bay zinc-copper mine in Saskatchewan, Canada, is nearing production after a total investment of $952 million, including $217 million from the federal government. Ottawa designated the project as in the national interest to speed up approvals. The mine is expected to operate for 18 years and average annual output of 54 million pounds of zinc and 41 million pounds of copper, along with gold and silver. Zinc has climbed to a multi-year high above $4,000 per tonne, driven by multiple factors.

Southwest Airlines said it will roll out its first airport lounge network, with four lounges scheduled to open in Austin, Baltimore, Honolulu and Nashville by late 2027. The lounges will offer dining options, amenities and travel benefits. The move is designed to deepen the carrier’s 30-year partnership with Chase and strengthen its Rapid Rewards loyalty program.

Ciena reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $266.4 million, or $1.83 a share, with adjusted earnings of $2.11 per share. Results topped analysts’ expectations of $1.74 per share, according to Zacks Investment Research. Revenue came in at $1.67 billion, above the $1.65 billion estimate. The company forecast current-quarter revenue of $1.25 billion to $2.25 billion and full-year revenue of $6.37 billion to $6.47 billion.

Victoria’s Secret reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $183 million and adjusted earnings of $0.95 per share, beating analysts’ average estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter was $1.61 billion. The company forecast full-year earnings of $4.45 to $4.70 per share.

VersaBank reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results showing revenue up 23% year over year, with net income up 53% and adjusted (core) net income up 27%, driven mainly by faster growth in its U.S. SRP business. The bank said it is targeting at least US$3 billion of new U.S. SRP in fiscal 2027 and plans to further improve efficiency. The quarter included $3.1 million in non-core, non-interest expenses, and the bank’s Form S-4 registration statement with the U.S. SEC has been declared effective.
