XRPL Foundation: Batch bug reported Feb. 19; 3.1.1 on Feb. 23 blocked activation

On Feb. 26, the XRPL Foundation detailed a vulnerability in the proposed Batch amendment that was reported on Feb. 19 by researcher Pranamya Keshkamat and Cantina AI tool Apex. XRPL contacted UNL validators to vote against activation and shipped rippled 3.1.1 on Feb. 23 to mark the amendments unsupported, scheduled a Devnet reset for Mar. 3, 2026, and noted no funds were lost.

Morgan Stanley Files for OCC Trust Bank Charter February 28 to Offer Crypto Custody

On February 28, Morgan Stanley filed with the OCC for a de novo national trust bank charter, aiming to operate as a regulated crypto custodian and later offer trading and staking. If approved, the bank would join BNY Mellon and Fidelity in custody services while pursuing a self-custody wallet and multiple spot ETF plans.

Progmat to Shift Over $2 Billion in Tokenised Assets to Avalanche by June 2026
