Intesa Sanpaolo, which manages about $1.1 trillion in assets, disclosed an XRP-linked position held through the Grayscale XRP Trust as part of a broader crypto expansion. As of March 31, the bank reported 712,319 trust shares worth roughly $18 million, while its total crypto-related holdings rose from about $100 million in Q4 2025 to nearly $235 million by the end of March 2026.

Bernstein said the Senate's 15-9 Clarity Act markup vote on May 14 and its stablecoin yield compromise could reinforce Circle's USDC model by limiting passive interest while allowing activity-based rewards. The attacker took 1,625 ETH, 103.6 tBTC, and 147,000 USDC, then consolidated the proceeds into a wallet holding roughly 5,402 ETH, while VRSC fell 4.1% over the last 24 hours.

Hyperliquid's HYPE traded above $45 and was up +10.97% to $46.61 while Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP were in the red, as the token tested a key $47 resistance area. The analysis outlined a potential move toward $50 if $47 breaks, while noting downside scenarios that could point back toward the low-$30s. A reported exploit on the Verus-Ethereum bridge drained $11.58 million from a cross-chain contract holding ETH, tBTC, and USDC. Security firms said the attacker converted the haul into about 5,402 ETH and moved the funds to another wallet, while VRSC showed limited immediate market reaction.

Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee said on Monday that Ether has faced sustained selling pressure over the past three months as crude prices climbed. He cited a record-high inverse correlation, noting oil has risen 66% from $65 to above $100 per barrel since Feb. 28 and that ETH slid nearly 10% over the past week to about $2,100 on Monday.

Ethereum slipped under $2,120 as crypto markets saw a wave of forced closures that pushed total liquidations above $631 million. ETH accounted for more than $256 million in liquidations, while Bitcoin liquidations were about $187 million, as bond yields rose and broader macro conditions weighed on risk assets.
