WSJ: Polymarket videos staged $1.9M in fake winning bets on dummy sites
A Wall Street Journal investigation said Polymarket paid mostly college-aged creators $2,000 to $3,000 per month to post videos portraying winning bets. The Journal found the clips were filmed on look-alike dummy websites rather than Polymarket’s live platform. Across 1,105 videos, the depicted wagers totaled roughly $1.9M, and the wins shown would have been real losses on the live market.
