T1 Energy to supply Clearway with 641 MW of U.S.-made solar modules from G2_Austin facility

T1 Energy said it has signed a strategic agreement to supply Clearway Energy Group with 641 megawatts of solar modules made using domestic solar cells from its G2_Austin facility. The company said the deal supports its effort to build a traceable U.S. solar supply chain as demand for domestically produced components rises amid trade and tariff uncertainty. T1 also said it expects the first phase of its 2.1 gigawatt solar cell production to start operating in the first quarter of 2027 and plans to offer modules with more than 60% domestic content that year.
