Panama says it has received final audit of First Quantum’s Cobre Panama mine

Panama’s environment ministry said it has received the final environmental audit report for the Cobre Panama copper mine operated by Canada’s First Quantum Minerals. The report identified issues involving administrative matters, biodiversity, ecological restoration and the coordination of environmental monitoring. It said the mine’s overall compliance rate was close to 88%.
