Blockchain forensic work has long attributed roughly 1.1 million bitcoin—worth nearly $73 billion—to Satoshi Nakamoto, and the coins have remained unmoved since 2010. Estimates put the stash at about 1.09 million to 1.1 million BTC, or roughly 5.47% of bitcoin’s 21 million supply cap. The holdings are spread across about 22,000 addresses, typically in 50 BTC block-reward chunks.
