Oman requires licensed bitcoin miners to route hashrate through state-backed pool OmanHash.om

Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has launched OmanHash.om, a state-backed bitcoin mining pool that all licensed miners in the country must use. Under the country’s newly established regulatory framework, OmanHash.om is the only mining pool permitted for licensed operators in the Sultanate. The ministry said the requirement applies to miners’ ongoing operations.
