Ethereum Foundation loses second co-executive director in four months as $30M funding gap looms

Hsiao-Wei Wang resigned as co-executive director and board member of the Ethereum Foundation on June 18, effective immediately. Her departure leaves Bastian Aue as the Foundation’s sole executive director, with no successor structure announced. The exit coincides with a warning from former EF contributor Trent Van Epps that Ethereum’s core development ecosystem could face a funding crunch within three to nine months, including an estimated $30 million annual gap.
