Tata Group and Mahindra expand AI use in auto units with in-house tools and global partners

Tata Group and Mahindra Group are accelerating AI deployment across their automotive operations, including paint shops, finance functions, customer engagement and EV product development such as the Tata Sierra and Punch EV. Tata has built an in-house network of AI agents to analyse more than 1.6 billion data points from posts, videos and online conversations, supported by group companies TCS and Tata Elxsi. The effort is positioned as a group-wide push to cut costs, improve efficiency and speed customer responses, but no specific financial impact or order gains were disclosed.
