Coinbase to Launch 1:1-Backed Tokenized U.S. Stocks With Automatic Dividends

Coinbase said on Tuesday it will bring 1:1-backed tokenized U.S. stocks to its platform onchain, with automatic dividend payments and no synthetic exposure. The company said users will be able to own tokenized shares of U.S. companies, trade and hold them onchain, redeem them, and receive dividends automatically. Coinbase emphasized the structure is “No derivatives, no IOUs,” it said in a post on X.
