Algorand sets end-of-2027 deadline for post-quantum resilience as “Q-Day” risk looms
“Q-Day” refers to the point at which a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could break the cryptography that protects crypto wallets. Algorand published a post-quantum roadmap on June 18 and said it is aiming for full quantum resilience by the end of 2027. The plan includes early milestones in 2026, including post-quantum accounts and multisig support.
