Global food prices rise to 131.1 points in July, the highest since January 2023
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
FAO's July Food Price Index rose to a 3+ year high, driven by a 3.4% m/m increase in cereals and a 5.8% jump in wheat, citing adverse weather and escalating Gulf/Black Sea conflict risks. The data underscores tightening agricultural supply expectations and elevated geopolitical risk premia, likely supporting near-term grains pricing and increasing inflation sensitivity across related commodity and macro markets.
