UK diesel prices break £2 a litre for first time, averaging 200.01p

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
UK diesel prices breaching £2/litre highlights ongoing tightness in refined products markets driven by supply disruptions and export constraints. While G7's planned 100 million barrel release may temper near-term crude price pressure, persistent refinery bottlenecks and diesel-specific scarcity keep inflation sensitivity elevated, with potential spillovers into transport costs and broader macro expectations.

Average diesel prices in the UK have crossed £2 a litre for the first time, reaching 200.01p, according to the RAC. Average petrol prices also climbed to 174.71p a litre. Rising global oil prices have continued to push up pump prices. On the same day, G7 nations agreed at an emergency meeting to release 100 million barrels of oil to curb further increases.
