Twilio to join the S&P 500 ahead of Oct. 6 open

S&P Dow Jones Indices announced Twilio will be added to the S&P 500 before the Oct. 6 open, replacing Warner Bros. Discovery. Index inclusion typically triggers mechanical buying from passive funds and benchmarked active managers that track the S&P 500, increasing near-term demand and liquidity in the newly added constituent. The event can also shift short-term flows across adjacent large-cap U.S. equities as portfolios rebalance.
