Middle East oil exports rebound to 92% of prewar baseline despite Hormuz constraints
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Middle East crude exports have recovered to ~92% of prewar baseline despite continued Hormuz restrictions, helped by US escorting, shuttle tanker transfers, and expanded pipeline bypass capacity. The rebound reduces immediate supply-shock risk for global crude benchmarks, but elevated attack frequency and uncertainty over US policy and Iranian escalation keep risk premia sensitive. Iranian crude exports remain effectively halted under a renewed US naval blockade.

Seven months after the US-Israel war with Iran effectively shut the Strait of Hormuz, Middle East oil exports have climbed back to more than 90% of prewar levels. In the final week of September, average daily flows reached 92% of the prewar baseline, according to maritime intelligence firm Kpler. Roughly 40% of September exports bypassed the strait via overland pipelines, while ship-to-ship “shuttle” transfers helped maintain throughput.
