U.S. stocks close lower as Alphabet reports $45.1B Q2 capex and oil climbs to $86.66

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Escalating Middle East risk and explicit U.S. retaliation threats around the Strait of Hormuz lifted WTI (+2.8% to $86.66) and pushed yields to new highs, tightening financial conditions and weighing on equities (Nasdaq -0.6%). The oil shock is supporting energy shares while pressuring rate-sensitive growth/tech. Alphabet's Q2 capex aligned with its full-year AI infrastructure guide, keeping focus on hyperscaler spending amid higher rates.
