ICE and OKX joint venture seeks SEC approval for 24/7 tokenized U.S. stock trading via Uniswap

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
ICE (NYSE owner) and OKX's OKXICE notified the SEC to launch a 24/7 tokenized U.S. stock venue under the Innovation Exemption, using permissioned Uniswap v4 pools on X Layer with stablecoin settlement. This materially advances regulated onchain market structure, potentially boosting DeFi infrastructure relevance while raising near-term focus on liquidity, price dislocations, and issuer objections under SEC volume and symbol caps.

Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, and OKX’s joint venture OKXICE has notified the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it plans to launch a tokenized securities trading venue under the regulator’s “innovation exemption” framework. The platform would use the Uniswap protocol to enable 24/7 trading in tokenized stocks. The SEC exemption caps Tier 1 venues at 75 securities with a 0.25% prior-month average daily volume limit per stock, and Tier 2 venues at 250 securities with a 2.5% limit. Because the SEC requires at least 30 days’ advance notice, the earliest possible launch would be in early November, according to the filing.
