Toyota targets more than 15% fuel-economy gain with new 1.5-litre engine for hybrids
The new engine will be used in next-generation hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, potentially including the next Corolla. It will replace Toyota’s existing 1.8-litre four-cylinder and 1.5-litre three-cylinder engines.
